Jakarta, May 2025 – VIVA Apotek’s commitment to contributing to society has once again delivered outstanding results.
Through its corporate social responsibility program titled “Sehat Bersama VIVA” (Healthy Together with VIVA), the pharmacy network received the Best CSR Award 2025 in the Pharmaceutical Retail category at the “7th Indonesia 50 Best CSR Awards 2025,” organized by The Iconomics in late April 2025.
“This award is clear evidence that our efforts go beyond pharmaceutical services—it reflects how VIVA Apotek contributes concretely to social welfare and creates a positive impact,” said VIVA Apotek Director, Fendy Pan, in a statement received by Kompas.com on Friday (May 9, 2025).
The “Sehat Bersama VIVA” program is a structured and sustainable CSR initiative. From 2024 through the first quarter of 2025, the program has reached more than 5,000 beneficiaries.
Activities include free health check-ups for underserved communities, education on healthy lifestyles, distribution of vitamins and essential medicines, as well as entertainment and psychosocial support for children in orphanages and elderly residents in nursing homes.
The program has been conducted directly in major cities such as Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, and Bekasi, targeting vulnerable groups including orphans, the elderly, and marginalized communities. VIVA Apotek designs each activity with the goal of creating long-term impact, both in terms of health literacy and social empowerment.
Internal survey results from VIVA Apotek show that more than 80% of participants gained a better understanding of healthy living practices. Meanwhile, over 60% of elderly participants reported feeling more socially and emotionally valued after joining the program.
Encouraged by these positive outcomes, VIVA Apotek plans to expand the program’s reach to more regions.
“We aim to double the number of beneficiaries by the end of 2025. We will also build strategic collaborations with various stakeholders to strengthen collective social impact,” added Fendy.
The Indonesia 50 Best CSR Awards, organized by The Iconomics, is widely recognized as one of the key benchmarks for CSR excellence in Indonesia. Each year, the research institution evaluates hundreds of CSR programs across industries based on effectiveness, sustainability, impact on society, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Only 50 selected companies receive this award.
VIVA Apotek believes that contributing to public health goes beyond pharmaceutical services—it requires actively addressing social needs on the ground.
