Jakarta, December 2025 – VIVA Apotek, in collaboration with Hansaplast, has donated IDR 50,000,000 to the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kanker Indonesia/YKI) as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program involving customer participation across all VIVA Apotek outlets.
The program aims to encourage public contribution to cancer prevention and treatment efforts through a simple mechanism.
For every purchase of Hansaplast products with a minimum transaction of IDR 30,000, a donation of IDR 3,000 was automatically contributed without any additional process. Through this approach, customers were able to shop for their healthcare needs while directly contributing to a meaningful cause.
During the campaign period, customer enthusiasm was notably high. From Hansaplast product transactions, the total donation collected reached IDR 50,000,000. The funds were distributed to YKI to support cancer education programs, early detection initiatives, and assistance for cancer patients and their families.
The donation handover took place several days ago at the Indonesian Cancer Foundation office in South Jakarta and was attended by VIVA Apotek management, Modern Trade Beiersdorf as the producer of Hansaplast, and representatives of YKI.
Amanda, Chief Marketing Officer of VIVA Apotek, stated that this collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable positive impact on public health.
“Through this CSR program, VIVA Apotek is committed to creating a sustainable positive impact on public health. We appreciate the participation of our customers who have contributed through the purchase of Hansaplast products. The collected donations are expected to support the Indonesian Cancer Foundation in implementing education, prevention, and patient assistance programs,” said Amanda.
Meanwhile, Hansaplast emphasized the importance of health education as part of disease prevention efforts.
“As a wound care brand that has long been trusted by the public, Hansaplast believes that health education and prevention are essential in improving quality of life. Our collaboration with VIVA Apotek in this CSR program represents a concrete step in supporting cancer prevention efforts and expanding sustainable social impact,” said Bonaventura Arya Wijaya, Head of Modern Trade Beiersdorf.
From the beneficiary’s perspective, the Indonesian Cancer Foundation expressed its appreciation for the support provided through this program.
“The donations received will be utilized to support education programs, early detection, and assistance for cancer patients. Cross-sector collaboration like this plays an important role in increasing public awareness of cancer prevention,” said dr. Siti Annisa Nuhonni, Sp.KFR-K, Head of Division II (Social Services) of the Indonesian Cancer Foundation.
As context, cancer remains one of the leading causes of death in Indonesia, with the number of new cases continuing to rise each year. Many types of cancer can actually be prevented or better managed if detected early, making education and public awareness key factors in reducing its impact.
Through this collaboration, VIVA Apotek and Hansaplast reaffirm their roles as public health partners that not only provide products but also actively deliver impactful social programs.
By purchasing healthcare products at VIVA Apotek, the public also contributes to sustaining donation programs and cancer prevention campaigns in Indonesia.
