Jakarta, April 2026 – PT Sumber Hidup Sehat, known under the brand VIVA Apotek, has officially announced the acquisition of 100% shares of pharmacy network Farmaku. This strategic move reinforces the company’s position in Indonesia’s pharmaceutical retail industry and marks a significant step in its long-term expansion strategy. The acquisition was formalized through a conditional agreement signed by both companies on April 10, 2026, at VIVA Apotek’s Head Office in Jakarta.
Farmaku currently operates 10 pharmacy outlets with an annual revenue of approximately IDR 110 billion. Through this acquisition, VIVA Apotek aims to expand its retail footprint while improving operational efficiency through integrated distribution and procurement systems.
President Director of VIVA Apotek, Haryanto Winata, stated that the acquisition is part of the company’s long-term vision to scale its business and strengthen competitiveness amid the rapid growth of Indonesia’s healthcare sector.
“The acquisition of Farmaku represents a strategic step to strengthen our network while driving operational efficiency through distribution and technology integration. In addition to expanding its network, the acquisition is also aimed at strengthening market penetration in the middle-to-upper segment, which is considered to have high growth potential in the healthcare retail sector.
Through the integration of both entities, VIVA Apotek targets several strategic synergies, including accelerated network expansion, optimized distribution systems, increased cross-selling opportunities, and improved operational efficiency through economies of scale.
